The tests are usually carried out under GLP (good laboratory practice) in an accredited test laboratory.

Furthermore we also offer all in vitro tests approved by the ECVAM as animal testing alternatives.

  The new test has several advantages towards previous studies:
  • It covers both endpoints, eye irritation and corrosion, which formerly only could be evaluated by a combination of BCOP (OECD 437) and EpiOcular (OECD 492) test.
  • This in vitro procedure allows the identification of “not requiring classification” (No Cat), “eye irritation classification” (Cat 2) and “serious eye damage classification” (Cat 1) according to GHS ocular hazard categories.
  • It is applicable to substances and mixtures, to solids, liquids, semi-solids and waxes.

New: Corona virus testing

Testing against enveloped viruses applicable for testing against 2019-nCov / SARS-CoV-2

• Since the new SARS-CoV-2 virus is one of the enveloped viruses, INVITRO-CONNECT GmbH offers the quantitative suspension test according to EN 14476 with testing against the vaccinia virus as reference virus for enveloped viruses which can be carried out as a claim “active against enveloped viruses”.In addition to EN 14476 with testing against vaccinia virus, we also offer testing against bovine coronavirus as a surrogate virus of SARS-CoV-2.Both tests are currently the state-of-the-art test methods for testing against 2019-nCov / SARS-CoV-2, as there is currently no specific test procedure available against the 2019-nCov / SARS-CoV-2 virus itself.Beside this, we furthermore offer:Effectiveness tests, etc. of disinfectants, antiseptics as instruments, cleaning agents and disinfectants against viruses, bacteria, bacteriophages, yeasts, molds and mycobacteria and bacterial spores according to all German and European test methods as well as according to e.g. ASTM or JIS in human medical, veterinary, biocidal products in the case of surface and hand disinfectants, food and cosmetics.
